You are looking at a "special." Z134 engine. Single clutch, PTO and hydraulic pump driving by the transmission intermediate shaft. Digging through the parts book, I find the transmission cases are the same (only one listed). You need a gaggle of parts: A hollow intermediate shaft (the gears can move from your solid shaft. A PTO intermediate shaft, driven gear, and bearings to go through that hollow intermediate shaft. A hollow PTO input shaft and housing to fit the front of the transmission. The original transmission input shaft stays, just need new bearings and seals and room for the PTO input shaft. The double clutch flywheel, the double clutch plates and pressure plate assemblies, and maybe a different throw out bearing and detail bits around there. To make the changes you need to split the tractor at the bell housing which requires removing the dash and the steering gear. Then you probably need to separate the transmission from the final drive and to change that intermediate shaft you may have to take out the top shaft in the transmission since that intermediate shaft is on the bottom. A few good salvage yards probably have the parts. You need a parts book to identify them, then a shop manual (better than the I&T) to take the transmission apart and put it back together and to adjust the double clutch assembly. You can't have mine. It cost the previous owner of my MF-135 about $1500 to have the seals repaired on the PTO input shaft assembly (that included a used hydraulic pump and new clutch plates) in the 1980s. That splitting and separation gets expensive or a lot of heavy work that needs special tools. Gerald J.
