Looking for a supply of Massey parts.
Have a @70s vintage mower that require parts for the gear box that cycles the knife. Uses some sort of crankshaft assembly in stead of a pitman.
Gear box piled up. Are new parts still available somewhere?
Local dealer has been gone for years.
Anyone have something used?
Thanks in advance Ken

Sounds to me like a "Dyna-Balance" mower. The crankshaft you're refering to is NOT available new. If it's not broken, you can grind it down, have it chrome plated and then re-ground to fit the bearings. I've been through this myself. The bearings are available. You can spend a pile of money on this mower but if you get it running there's none nicer. From time to time, I see rear mount mowers of this type for sale in the local Market Bulletin. Buying a mower for parts is not a bad idea. I've done that also. Be aware that they made at least two versions of this mower, one has a cast Iron housing and the other is a fabricated steel housing (sometimes refered to as the "rocker housing" It was also built as a side mount and rear 3-point hitch mount. I'm not sure that all of the internal parts are interchangable. The fabricated steel unit was usually painted yellow, was considered a "commercial" model and saw a lot of use with the state road mowing roadway right-of-ways. If I can help let me know. Good Luck!!
