Is there any way to make the bucket move up and down without the three point moving also.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim,
Thanks for your reply, not sure if we can reply directly but here goes on the Forum.
The difference in the wording is probably your English and our English. In thinking about it DRAFT does seem to be more common.
The loader can be easily operated from the draft lever but the only problem is you will need to be vigilant by fine movement of the draft lever to keep it at a set height. Unless you are spot on the loader will creep up (or down) and cause the relief valve to blow. A far better arrangement is to have an isolating valve on the front top of the hydraulic cover either with a built in spool and lever or a seperate one to operate the loader and a hydraulic bucket or other services if you have them. This allows complete control.
If you do not have an isolating valve the 3 point linkage will need to be held about 2" below it's maximum height in order to keep the pump control lever in the pumping position.
This is normally achieved with the use of the T-Bar as part of the hook hitch assembly.
Something can be made if you do not have one.
If you do not restrain the 3 point linkage the arms will rise fully and the pump control lever will move to the neutral position.
Hope this helps.
Regards
David P

Simplest way, tie your 3 point arms up to the top link bracket with a length of rope. It stops them going up or down, it won't harm anything. If you want to hang anything on the 3 point though e.g. a weight box, well its a bit more complicated. You need an isolator valve from your friendly MF dealer.
Our 65 loader tractor (later replaced by a 165)both had the old style 'T' bar type pick up hitch which holds the 3 point in the highest position when latched anyway. We made a concrete weight that hooked onto the actual T bar via 2 steel loops, that cured both problems :)

Hi Roy,
Can I take up one little point of yours. The T-bar linkage does not hold the linkage at the highest point otherwise you would not be able to release the pin. The linkage is held at a point just below maximum so that the pump control lever is kept in the pumping position to supply a loader etc. The 65 can be operated on the 'draught' lever and the 165 in Constant Pumping.
Cheers

Hi David
Oh yeah you are right, I should have said "just below maximum height"
Cheers!
Roy
