For your choice of color paint go to the NAPA store or any automotive dealer with a paint specialty and asked for the codes supplied by one
of our friend. If you want to make a very nice job
you will have to sand blast the whole tractor, then
apply an epoxy primer. Please make sure that your
tin is dent free and then apply a base coat/clear
coat type of paint. The reason is that enamel paint fades more and also is less uv resistant.
If you want to keep shine on enamel paint you will
use elbow grease to wax the baby a couple times
a year.

Well, the two colors are not the same as far as I know. Massey Ferguson Red is somewhat 'redder' than the Massey-Harris Red (which I would say has more 'orange' in it's mixture). Why not stay with the M-H color if you've got a model 22?

Here's some color numbers that might help you:

1. Martin Senour Points - Synthol Enamel (NAPA) - MH RED 90G-3743 - MH YELLOW 90T-3744

2. Sherwin Williams Paint -MH RED JK 4036-R -MH YELLOW JK 4649

3. Ditzler Paint - MH RED DQE70364 - MH YELLOW DQE 80533

4. Dupont Imron Paint -MH Red 674UM

I was told that Tremclad Yellow (machinery enamel available up here in Canada) is almost an exact match for Massey Harris yellow, however it is not of automotive quality. I've used a couple of different machinery enamels for the reds, specifically Glidden Safety Red (but that might also be Canadian). It is not an automotive type (Hardener, etc.) paint.
