I got the top cover off of the tranny, and i can spin the pto clutch pack, Do you think the coupler is broke at the flywheel? I am gonna start splitting it so will find out, if it is the shaft, can you pull that out from the front or not Thanks Jeremy

I would split the tractor at the engine clutch. The flywheel adapter is what usually fails, and or the splined shaft(which will pull out of the input section of the transmission). The back end of that shaft is also splined and engages another coupler between the transmission and the high low section of the rear end (which is what you have the top cover off). You can pull both shafts from that coupler, the front one and the one that goes through the pto clutch pack, unfortunatly you have to split the tractor between the transmission and the rear end section to get to the coupler its self. As I stated the flywheel adapter is what usually fails.

Tom, Both of them are good, i think the adapter that the shaft from the flywheel comes from and connects to in the middle of the tranny is shot
What do you think

It must be. You"ll have to split it between the transmission and the rear end to check the coupling.
