MF165 lifter arm problem

I have a MF165 that well to make a long story short ended up rolling down a steep ditch going straight backwards. It had a mower implement on that back at the time. I dropped the mower and got pulled out and I now have a problem that my lifter arms will not work at all.

The tractor runs fine, shifts into and out of all the gears (also using the multipower), the pto seems to work Ok although I have not tested it fully. I have checked the fluid level and although I would like to change it, it is full. (The arms worked fine up until the accident).

The arms are free in that I am able to lift them by hand and when doing so they move in unison.

Could there be air in the system? Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix it?

Please help and Thank You in advance.

Hi,
Might be easy to overlook the simple things first. Do you have an isolating valve on the hydraulic cover under the seat. Is it possible that this has been moved to the auxilliary position during the accident and recovery. This would prevent the arms lifting.
Worth a look first.
Cheers

Admittedly, this is a new tractor for me. The only moving part that I see under the seat and below the control levers is a large lever that appears to have something to do with switching drive power from the left to the right side or visa versa. That lever seams to be frozen and has been since I got the tractor.

I will take a closer look tonight though.

Thanx,
JDavid

Hi,
Seems like you are looking at the differential (diff) pedal. This lock the rear axle shafts together to give equal drive to both rear wheels otherwise you might have only one turning and lose grip.
I was referring to the small plate held on by two screws or bolts just behind the handbrake cross shaft. You may have a valve with a control of some sort which may have been moved.
