We have a 1080 at work and the other day the 3pth wouldn't go down until you shut the engine down, was acting as if it was always trying to go up. when you move the lever to the raise pos. you can feel the spring loaded presure on the valve, but when you move it to the drop pos. it doesn,t have any resistance at all. I pulled the side cover off and all seems ok almost as if a valve was stuck? I know the top cover was off for a new hyd pump and pto clutch pack not too long ago....Thanks Jim

A couple of thing to check remove the access plate on the right side of the rear center housing watch the vertical lever that hangs down from the top to see if it is moving the pump control lever sticking up from the pump when you move the quadrant levers one at a time. If it is not then try to move the pump control lever by hand it is the lever with the roller in it. You should feel a spring pulling it toward the back when you move it forward. When the pump control levers is moved toward the front the lift should lower when it is pulled toward back the lift should raise. That will also usually get the control valve unstuck when you move it with the engine is running if it is stuck. If I can be of further help Email me.
