My steering column is leaking at the very top out a small hole. Is this a seal or is the sector leaking? Thanks, davids

Does anyone know the part number for this seal or where to find one?

Does anyone know the part number for this seal at the top of the steering column on the 135? Mine is bad. The seal looks like a one piece rear main seal off a car, but smaller. I have it off the tractor, just no luck finding a replacement yet.

Thanks,

Larry

David:

I am no expert but I have the same problem and this is what I have learned from Big Dean, who is an expert. If it is leaking out the weep hole on the column or around the top of the steering column than it is a seal in the column. If it is leaking out the breather on the top of the steering housing than it is the piston polish seal. I am in the process of fixing mine right now. Big Dean (who is on this site) has helped me on this problem and has a CD out on how to fix both problems. The CD has clear pictures of the steering system and useful information you can't get from the repair manuals. He is a great help to us Massey owners. Hope this helps! David

Its a seal for the power steering valve.
