What type of gear oil do I put in my tractor. I have been told 90 wght and I've been told hydralic oil?

Try your local oil distributor these products, they meet both the GL-1 and M/F 1103 specs. (1) is Chevron (RPM GearOil-90 (2) is 76 (Mineral Gear Lube-90) (3) is Shell (dentax 80W-90). Check the GL-1 specs B/4 you buy. Hope this helps

well neather. it's 90 wt.{{ MINERAL OIL}}not 90 wt. gear oil. if you get it from a massey dealer it's M1103 NOT M1129. or go to napa and they can get it's GL-1 some one will post the napa part no.. you might have to find a rural napa store and even a massey dealer that will take the time to order it most will try to sell you M1129 wrong stuff

At tractor supply they sell a gear oil specifically for the 8n. WIll this work in my tractor? I just don't want to mess up the hydralics.

The Ford Transmission oil at TSC will work. However, you can save $20 buy calling NAPA and asking for PN 65-205. That is 90 wt. GL-1 mineral oil.

The NAPA Price ($24.99 / 5 gal) Summer 2004
TSC Price $15.99/ 2 gal = $40/5 gal or $36/5gal.
