What is the best way to break in a new tractor engine? Or does it need to be broke in. I just put my M back together and will be starting it within a couple of days and just wondered if there was anything that i needed to do.

It's the wrong time of the year, but blowing silage is a wonderfull way to break in a motor/seat rings. good load, plenty of heat, but nut really lugging the motor SS

Do what Leland said and watch the temp. When she starts headin for 200 back her off and when she cools go at it again.

When the pony's broke she'll quit that..... ....goin to 200.

Best thing to do is put a plow or disk behind it and go then change oil after a couple of hours.
