IF I DETERMINE THAT NO. 1 POSITION ON THE CAP IS TOP LEFT, THEN ON A CCW ROTATION, IS IT JUST A MATTER OF PUTTING ON THE REMAINING WIRES IN ORDER (2ND FROM THE FRONT OF THE BLOCK, THEN 3RD, ECT), OR COULD THE NO 2 CYL BE FOR THE 3RD POSITION ON THE CAP, ECT. IN OTHER WORDS DO I NEED TO CHECK THE POSITION OF THE ROTOR BUTTON ON EACH CYL. ONE AT A TIME? IF THE FIRST CYL FIRES ON TOP LEFT POST, IS IT POSSIBLE 2ND CYL COULD FIRE ON BOTTOM RIGHT?

Put the #1 wire on the #1 position post on the cap, and then go ccw and connect up the wires in that order. Example: if firing order is 1,3,4,2, then connect the wires in that order going ccw from #1. But make sure when you connect #1 that #1 cylinder is at the top of it"s compression stroke. How? Spin engine over and have someone put a thumb over the spark plug hole, and when they feel pressure, look in the cylinder thru the hole and turn engine over by hand until the piston is at the top of it"s stroke. Install the plugs, the wires, start it up and adjust the timing. I go a few degrees advanced to where it runs smoothest.

tHANKS, IN OTHER WORDS, IF #1 IS TOP LEFT POSITION ON THE CAP, AND THE NEXT WIRE COMING OUT OF THE ENGINE IS THE 3 FIRING ORDER PLUG, IT WOULD
BE THE NEXT POSITION AFTER THE NUMBER ONE ON THE CAP, OR DO I COUNT OVER TO THE 3RD POSITION ON THE CAP

If #3 plug is next to fire after #1, then the next wire after #1 will connect to #3 plug, the next wire connects to 4, and the next to 2, and then your back to 1 again.
