A few years ago I round baled with Hesston 530? 4X4 and the only problem was hydraulics slow raiseing end gate also used my brothers Case 8420 the same thing as Hesston but paint color and covered some fairly ground in east central ohio I also run 477 NH haybine with MF65 but went back to square bales for horse hay and to sell

You should be able to do a 4x4 round bale. I had a Massey 253 with 47 at the pto. I was using a JD round baler, and that was right at the max when it came to tying the twine. The baler had a hydraulic setup for tying, and tied two twines around at the same time.

I have a JD 4010 that is lugging pretty good at wrap time; 5x6 bales. It's around 80 hp. Agree with the 4x4 limit. There's about twice as much hay in the larger roll; hence additional stresses on the tractor.
