location of serial number mf65

i'm still checking that 65 i asked other questions about and i have decided to purchase it..there is a metal plate on the side of the motor with patent numbers on it along with motor-g176 which i know is gas and the displacement then another number 20421 is this the serial number? if it is then when i checked massey 65 serial numbers on this site for the year..they all were in the 6's but i didn't see any other numbers on the tractor...thanks for any help....Keith

look on the side of the transmission, under brake petal
