after a lot of research, i'm still not able to identify the engine of my MF165.

The Serial number is 1658SNDMY323187V which tells that the tractor was made in france about November 1965 and has a Perkins engine.

On the engine (near the diesel filter) I found the tractor serial : 4D 10925

I found on the intake Manifold this number : 37786240

The sticker on the intake Manifold isn't there anymore ...

I Also check the perkins website, but no information on this old motor

Can someone Help ?

Thanks in advance
Greg

Hi,
To the best of my knowledge there were only two Perkins engines fitted to the MF 165. As you sit in the seat, is the exhaust on the left hand side? If it is then you have an AD4.203 essentially a four cylinder version of the AD3.152 fitted to the MF 135. The alternative with the exhaust on the right hand side is the A4.212 which was put into production in the MF 165 in late 1967. Yours should be an AD4.203.
Cheers

Thnak you very much, I got the exaust on the Left hand side ... Does it make a difference if the exaust goes up ? mine goes under the tractor and goes out near the PTO

CAn you also tell me the difference between 165, mark II, mark III ?
Thanks
GReg
