Having recently just done that same thing, the answer would have to be maybe. Who did the overhaul? Can they produce all the bills and details of what was done? Was it a mechanic familiar with the model? How does it run now? How much (if any) smoke is there, etc... I suggest caution, as my rebuilt engine required over 4K invested to bring it back to running well, including a new injector pump, rebuit injectors (three times before everything was finally sorted out) new starter, new timing chain (would have thought that was included in a total rebuild) and the cam re-installed incorrectly. Now haveing said that, I love the tractor, and it does everything I want of it with no complaint. I made the mistake of jumping on the "just overhauled" merit and got burned. Sadly, it was a smaller dealer in my area to boot. If you have a mechanic friend familiar with older diesels (or diesels in general) take them along and have them give a once or twice over to get a good feel of what the real story is. Hope this helps. Mike
