I am looking at a mf 1135 for 6000 has 4300 org hours. Owner says he park it on a steep hill and after that it is hard to get out of park. He had to take the plate off and pull really hard on the linkage to release . So it sticks in park sometimes. So should I forget it because of potential problems with the TA

Ther isnt a good park shifting 00 or 05 tractor that I have ever seen. The problem is that you can"t get enough pull on the lever. it makes a couple of turns through linkages that easily bend. You would be surprised on how easy it shifts in and out when you make a lever and different linkage. I made one put it on the side tin where throttle is so you don"t even use the gear shift lever made it a foot long then you can get enough leverage to take it out on a hillside. works great le me know if I can help.

It is possible to put a Micro Lock unit on a brake line and forget the park prawl problem. The units used to be either mechanically lever actuated or employed an electrical solinoid. They have special seals for use with hydraulic fluid, but function identical to the brake fluid models used in small truck applications. You need to add a mounting bracket and some more brake line tubing.

kc, could be linkages, but sounds like previous owner could have slammed it into park while tractor was still moving and not completely stopped, thus damaging or bending park brake pin. cheers n good luck.

I wouldnt think thats a big problem, I have 1105
and 1135s they all have linkage problem getting them into park sometimes. If i need to park it i
will put in in low range with multipower in hi. Never had a problem yet, older tractors never had
park option so i just never got hooked on using it.
