I have recently bought a 51 massey harris 44 super six from my grandpa and when it starts the oil pressure is normal but as the engine warms up the pressure drops. It doesn't lose pressure completely but it goes down to about 5-10 lbs. What is the problem? Is it bad for the engine run it like that?

I would start with an oil change maybe straight 30w as suggested and see what happens. If the engine is running well I wouldn't worry about it with 10 lbs unless you're working it.The oil is circulating.

If I know that the engine was redone a number or years ago, but it wasn't straight line bored, so How much of the engine would i have to tear down to replace the cam bearings. I have helped rebuild two tractors a 44 and 30, but on this one i don't want to do a major teardown on.

If you don't have the proper equipment to replace the cam bearings,I would talk to an engine rebuild shop and get their opinion.Bearings have to be pressed in. The head and valves will have to come off/out, along with the timing cover etc.The front engine mount is bolted to the front cover so you would probably as well off to pull the whole engine.

Normal ol pressure is only 20 PSI on those engines.10 PSI is a bit low in my opinion.Have you tried another brand of oil?Are you using a multi-viscocity grade oil?.If so a single 30 W could possible raise it a bit.
It could be the rod bearings and or main bearings but most likely the cam bearings need replacing.I would probably pull the oil pan and do some checking with plasti gauge on both rod and main bearings.Give the oil pump suction screen a look while you have the pan off.It could be in need of a good cleaning

go to the lower right side of the engine, there is a bolt head there about 1 1/8" this is the cap that covers the oil pressure relieve valve, take it off and put a washer or two behind it.
