i have a massey harris 44 with a continental h260. i just in-framed it and fired it up last night. today, i was just putting around, and it started dying out. it just cut off, like it ran out of fuel, but started back up, then did it again. tomorrow i'm going to take the carb apart and clean it again.also the manifold, right above the carb was ice-cold,with frost on it. i've heard that this can be a problem, but don't know how to fix. any help would be great. thanks!

I heard it is perfectly normal for a massey 44 when under load to develope a ratling sound and frost the manifold in the middle of a field in a 100 degree day.

Punch in "carb icing" in the search box at top of this page. Check it out before tearing down your carb. Lots of suggestions..... ...
