Will a cab from 285 fit a 275?

I might acquire a good open-station 275 with 236 loader in the next few days. Tractor would be used a lot in cold, snowy weather. I know of a cab that came off a 285 that collided with a car and suffered major front end damage. I"m thinking a cab off any 2*5 series utility will fit any other in the series, but wanted to see if there are any surprises I might not know about?

Our local Massey dealer atleast had a 275 and 285, both w/ Massey cabs on them, and on the tag it said the same cab would fit from atleast a 255 up to a 285. These were add on cabs sold by massey. If what Bill is saying is true, I would look at the cab and the interior 1st, but if it's the cab I'm thinking of it would fit. Another option would be a weather break. Can get a CUSTOM fit one from Femco for (I think) $300. They made the original ones sold by MF. Very good quality, and they work pretty good. We have one for our 285, and one for our 1855.

Hi, I don't see how it would fit, a 285 is a much bigger tractor. I have a 285 with a factory cab, the hydraulic controls , dash and a lot of sheet medal are different than a normal 285. I understand that some had cabs made by a third party that may be made to fit more than one tractor. The factory 285 cab was only used on the 285. If someone is going to part out this tractor I would be interested in parts off the cab. My email is [email protected] Bill
