I rebuilt the hydraulic pump on my MF 35 tractor.

I have been posting a few questions here during the process.
I got the pump done and installed back in the tractor.

The draft lever will work the hydraulics.
althought it seems to me that it is backwards.
what I think should be lifting is actually lowering the arms.

The position control lever doesn't seem to work the hydraulics at all.

any suggestions would be appreaciated.

Thanks

Joel

I thought the vertical arms went in front of the pump arm???? This would explain why the draft control works backwards now. I will give this a try.

Thanks

Joel

Hi Joel,
With the right hand side cover removed. Check the operation of the vertical levers against the pump lever. The vertical levers must be BEHIND the pump lever. Ensure that the lift arms are in the lowered position. When you lower the control levers the vertical levers should move forward to the point where the position section at the bottom of the quadrant moves into the response section.
It's unlikely that there's anything wrong in the cover linkage.
Come back if I can help anymore.
Regards
DavidP
With both levers raised the pump lever should be in the rear most position.
