165 Massey Manure bucket conversion question

I have a good running Massey 165 that has a bush hog loader with dump type bucket. The loader only has the 2 one way cylinders to raise it up. It is a heavy duty loader. How hard would it be to change bucket and add cylinders to make it a full fledge loader? Is this a common thing to do? Or is it even worth it? I am just a green horn when it comes to tractors.
Thanks Jamie

I happen to have the exact same bush hog loader, mine was converted to a hydraulic dump bucket. Whoever did it, put one cylinder in the middle to operate the bucket. They had to cut away part of the frame in front. it looks weird, but works. I still have the original one way cylinders for the up and down lift. they seem to work OK for what I use it for.
If you want to make it really nice, you would have to use two cylinders for the bucket and two new double acting cylinders for the up and down. When you get done with all that you'll have more in the loader than its worth. Start pricing big cylinders for a loader and figure out all the hoses you'll need and you'll see what I mean. You'll need cylinders with at least a 16" stroke to get the full range of motion and there is some engineering involved in getting it set up right. The cylinders must not bind through their entire stroke or things will bend up.
