Hi All, I have a gasket left over from an engine rebuild of a perkins ad4.203, I am taking off the oil pan once more and I thought it is a good time to ask where this gasket should go. It is displayed in the drawing (hopefully attached to this post or else it is at the bottom of the page on the web link.). It is made of cork and is about 4mm thick. If anybody knows where it should be located please let me know.
Thanks in advance dev.
PS, Sorry about the quality of my drawing, I lent my digital camera to someone!

The timing cover is in to piece that gasket goes between the two parts

Thanks Big Dean, But I can't see how it fits there. Does it have to bend around the crank shaft somehow?

Dev.

I posted a picture on Epson PhotoCenter it is from my CD repair disc under Perkins engine album. It show how to stop that gasket from pushing out on the left side causing it to leak but it also has a line where the gasket goes

Thanks again Big Dean, I see now that I have a different timing cover, one that uses an o-ring instead. So I guess this is just a spare gasket that I won't need.
