MF-12 question

I have an old MF-12 (with snapper decals, I think that it was made in the late 70's) that I bought without a deck.
I have rigged a MF-10 deck to be powered by the front pto.
The pulley on this deck is positioned vertically.
This makes for many twists in the belt and a sporatic type of operation.
Could someone tell me how the stock deck is powered. Is it from the central shaft?
Does anyone know where I can find the stock deck and other implements?

The mower deck for the MF12 has a horizontal pulley shaft and the front PTO is replaced with a pulley that also runs horizontally so there are no turns in the belt.
