First off, MF-35 never had an AD3-152, but 3-152 or A3-152, and according to my manual, rod bearing torque should be 70-80ftlb

good luck

Thank You , and on the hood it says "MASSEY -FERGUSON 35X" . I gave the engine number to a dealer and they told me it was a AD3-152.

You can also tell if you have the A3-152 or the AD3-152 by the combustion chamber plates on the left side of the head just below the injectors. The A3-152 regular injection engines have those plates. The AD3-152 direct injection engine does not have the those plates. I don't know about the UK built tractors but the late US built MF35 did use the AD3-152 engine and I have been told the UK built 35X had the AD3-152 engine also but I am not sure

The AD3-152 direct injected engine was introduced with the MF-135 in 1964, and normally there isn't enough room under the tank for an AD3-152 in a '35er but mods have been seen before.

Other torques in ftlbs
Head nuts: 55-60
main bearings: 110-120
flywheel bolts: 75
counterweights: 50-55
injectornuts: 50
And if the rod nuts are self-locking, they must be replaced by new ones and then torqued to 70-80. If you need it, i also have the tightening sequence and other specs for the 3-152.

The injectors are straight up and down,and there are plates ont the side with three bolts on each holding them on.

3 Plates = precombustion chamber covers => 3-152 or A3-152, not AD3-152

and, Big Dean, my knowledge is limited to the type sold in Denmark, namely the Coventry UK built type. First UK diesel model 35 introduced in '57 with Standard 23c later to be replaced with 3-152 perkins and later again in the 35x the A3-152 perkins. The first AD3-152's I saw were in a Volvo "Buster" (with an enormous flywheel) and in a MF135
