IAN- IF YOUR 35 IS ANYTHING LIKE MY 50, WHICH I THINK IT IS ALMOST IDENTICAL, ALL YOU HAVE TO IS REMOVE THE BEARING RETAINER BOLTS AND PLATE AT THE REAR OF THE TRACTOR. SOMETIMES NTHESE STICK SOME BUT WITH LITTLE PERSUASION THEY WHOLE SHAFT WILL COME RIGHT OUT FROM THE BACK. IT SHOULD NOT HURT IT IN ANY WAY TO REMOVE IT AT ANY TIME. IT MERELY SLIDES INTO THE BACK OF THE HYDRAULIC PUMP DRIVESHAFT. IT IS MADE TO COME OUT AT ANYTIME TO SERVICEN THE PTO BEARING.GOOD LUCK.
