OK,

The 165 I had located was sold before I got back to it. Now I am looking for info/pricing on either of the following.

MF 50 w/ loader, diesel, nice straight tin, fresh home done paint, hour meter indicates 3000 and is working, everything is working, brand new tires. Smokes some on start-up then smooths out real nice. Loader seems a little slow and runs off of tractor hydraulics. $4500

MF 283 w/ loader, diesel, good tin, but weathered, hour meter not working, tires serviceable probably 50% tread. Runs real nice. Loader runs off of seperate pump and moves real nice. $8900 asking, but has indicated he can move on this.

Thanks Guys,

Not sure what I would do without all of you willing to share your knowledge and experience.

Kirk

Would not get FEL without downpressure. Also would not pay any attention to the hours shown - most folks around turn them back. The MF 50 sounds like not so good a deal if you really want a tractor with FEL to do real work. Hold out for better. By the time you add pump, route, re-work or replace FEL, then you are way into too much $$$.

Ive owned a MF 50 diesel with a loader for about 10 yrs, i love it. It has the front hydrolic pump and loader has down pressure, which to me is a big item. If tractors in good condition could be a big if, well worth 4500. Good luck.

This loader is piped to the tractor hydraulics and is a little slow. New filters/fluids might help a little. It also has one way cylinders (no down pressure). I really wanted the down pressure to help scrape out run-in sheds.

Thanks,

Kirk

The down pressure is a big help when you get stuck also. Lou
