Does anyone out there have a MF 130? I understand they were made in France in the 60's and I'm wondering how reliable they are. Are they as reliable as the MF 50 & MF 135? I'm thinking of buying a diesel model and it sure is a beaut. Thanks in advance.

The MF130 is a pretty good little tractor but as mike said some parts of it are built very light especially the pto drive train.. Parts are very hard to find for them In North Amercia if you can find them at all. Hope this answers your question satisfactorily.

Big Dean, I've been to your site a couple times and it has A WEALTH of good information. This past summer I was looking at a MF 50 gas and I used your buying guide during the evaluation of the machine. There was a lot of oil dripping from the loose cotter pin underneath of the transmission housing. There were some other things wrong with it too. I decided it was too much work and money to bring it up to snuff after the purchase. THanks for the advice and website. Doug.

I Knew of a service rep that said the french could never make anything run well fo more tha 15 minutes. Have only seen a couple of 130 they seem to be lightly built.especiallu top link sensor.

Well a lot of the MF models were (and are) built in France. The Renault I ran was a far better built and more reliable unit than the IH of the equivlent size which it replaced built a few miles down the road from me.
By the way the MF130 never really caught on over here and parts are impossible to find.

Yes but MF designers ate innovators and years ahead of everyone else. I also understand that some MF pony or coltsWas manufactured in France But All MH parts. I'm sure the same was the case with the 130. However they were of slight construction, and as you stated over here parts are hard to find. But AGCO had a program for parts for expierienced tractors over here do they have that there,
