We bought this new in 1977 and never had any problems with the transmission. This has the 2 peddles on the right side for forward and reverse.Last year it
started to pour transmission oil out the small plate
just behind the motor.
The massey dealer put a new tourque converter? in
and a pump that I think fed oil to it.
Now it often takes 10 minutes or so for it to move
when first started up in the morning. Even jacking
the wheels up, they dont turn. Then it will suddenly
go to work and be good for the rest of the day. Also sometimes it will move a few feet at startup then stop and it is back to the 10 minute wait again.
I took the cover of the bottom to check the screen
and put 3 new orings on the stand pipe which did not help it. Is there anything else I should check
that you know of.

thanks

These regulator valves sound like something inside the transmission housing and not anything to do with
the linkages from the floor peddles. Is that right.

thanks again

Big Dean,
Can you send me the e-mail with pictures showing the locations and instructions on checking the regulator valves, I am having the same problems with my backhoe, it will move backwards (no problem) but, will move forward very slow at times. I have to stop the engine to shift the high/low gear.

Also can you advise the model and year. I have only have the number that is located above the steering wheel =192102MI.
number on the engine = 3711222D/5

I am willing to purchase a CD if I can find out what model I have. If more information is needed please advise.
Thanks,
Donald Lewis
