The fm 35 I'm planning on purchasing has a prefix of unf on the serial 233821. any info on what these letters stand for for the year of this tractors origin. From the research i've done so far I can tell the tractor is 62/63 with a 3 cyl perkins diesel. Any comments or words of advice before purchase would be appreciated. thanks asking price is 3,750.00. tractor is in ok condition. is this a fair price?

more info to add. as it turns out the engine may not be a perkins. It has a marking on it that I make out to be MONOCYL with what appears to be the model of k24i and serial 37111280. on the other side of the engine is a label that states reconditioned, john millen quebec limited. on the crankcase is the sn gkn1523. and on the head is gl1885402c. Things are leading me to believe that the engine in this tractor is not original. Back to serial numbers, on the left side of the trunk of the tractor is 189459m1 and on the right side is 897-719-m2. again any help on sorting this tractor out would sure be appreciated. thanks again

numbers that end in m1 or m2 are MF part numbers, not serial numbers.
