Send Larry an email. He just finished rebuilding a Model 2. He did a nice job on it.

Do you have any pics? Is it a type 1 or 2?

no pics right now. this engine does not state "Type" but "Model" and in a box on the tag beside "Model" it has a "2". I read else where that Type 1's were built arround 1914 and in that series there was a 15HP engine, Type 2's did later built around 1922, did not have a 15HP engine in the series. Prior to 1914, Massey Harris used Olds engines, maybe they put their name on them and used the word "Modele"?

Sorrry! wrong info previously posted!

I am researching this for a friend who des not have internet access, and I had not personally seen the engine. Just got the right info from the owner after questioning him several times as to what the engine tag actually says.
The engine is a "type 2" not a "model 2" and is as I suspected a 1.5hp not a 15hp engine. I still would appreciate any info as to value etc... Sorry! Sorry!, next time I will look myself!
