I have an Fe 35 with a perkins deisel runs good but after I change the oil and put it to work for a day or two check the oil, level is good but the oil is black , can't see through it on the dip stick. Is this normal for this engine? I also own a Fendt 305 lsa deisel oil is stiil clear after 500hrs.On a different note ,does anyone know where I can get a primary fuel line from the tank to the lift pump,I don't think mine has the right fitting on the lift pump end , won't stop leaking even with new pump, dealer says can't supply.

Hi kim
Not unusual for a diesel to blacken up the oil almost straight away after an oil change. A lot depends on its history of service and how much sludge build up there is in there. You could try giving it a change every 20 hours for 3-4 changes and this would improve it i think.
