Hi again all.
Whats the RAM? (that the top third point) on the 3 point linkage for? it has two short arms that go up to another pivot point thats fixed. Is it a ram or just a spring loaded mount. How do i stop it moving in and out when using the grader blade?

Hi Peter,
The 'thingy' is the control spring mechanism which when set allows sensing when ploughing to make adjustments to the depth automatically.
When set there should be no noticeable play in the lower part of the linkage. If you have really excessive end float you may have a broken spring or stripped the thread on the plunger which goes through the spring. As you stand behind the tractor you will see a small horizontal tapping in the rhs of the rear end of the top cover near the rubber boot. Undo the screw with an Allan key andfold the boot rearwards or cut it off. Using a 5/16 punch or similar try and tap the nut, top to the left and remove it. It is quite probable that on a 35 you will have to apply heat to the casing to free it. Remove the two socket head bolts from the rocker and casing lugs and remove the spring. You will see if there is any damage there.
Please come back again for the next step or alternately as I will be away for two weeks, visit Big Dean's site for the rest of the procedure.
Cheers
David P
