Installing a Freeman #120 loader on a MF35

We've decided to strip the loader from my dad's old Ferguson TEA and install it on my MF35 with a third cylinder to control the bucket.

Am I going to regret this? How heavy will it make the steering? I insisted that the guy install the thing with quick-detach couplers so that I can take the cylinders off with the loader.

Opinions? Advice?

Rod - I forgot to mention that I leave the cylinders attached to the frame and just secure them to each post with a leather strap. In my opinion, the additional weight never bothered me when steering, you just learn how to handle it. We've done every operation you can imagine with that old loader and its mechanical bucket.

Rod - We put our Freeman loader from my dad's TE-A onto a Dexta gas and from the Dexta gas onto my Super Dexta. Dad bought that loader new in 1954 for $150 and I've worn out 2 buckets since. Last bucket installed was from a Ford one arm loader which bolted right up. I've left it as a mechanical bucket on the advice of an old Freeman salesman. When I asked him about adapting to a hydraulic bucket, he asked if I used it to mainly load manure. When I said yes, he said to forget the hydraulic bucket as a mechanical trip would recycle much quicker, especially in the winter.
It's mainly just changing/making new brackets to adapt from one model to the other. They're great little loaders !

The main use I see for the loader will be picking up large stones and handing them up onto scaffolds while we repair a collapsing barn wall. From the get-go I'll need precise control of this rig as it will all be about picking stones, off-loading heavy things from trailers, moving timbers around and cleaning up the miscellaneous junk like old tractor tires and furnaces that two generations have left lying around the farm.

Come to think of it I have just outlined a week's work tidying up the back lane. This thing may get some use, after all, as long as the diesel doesn't asphyxiate us in the barn.
