Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find a starter spacing block. I am putting a starter off a 354 Perkins diesel engine into an application where a 4.236 engine was. The nose on the starter is too long and I need to move it back around 7/8" to match up with the ring gear. Any thoughts.
Thanks YC

Had the same problem switching from a Delco to a Lucas on a 318 Perkins , only I ended up with a block that I didn't need. 3 holes about 3/4 inch thick. Try your dealer , . if not let me know. It's not very big , so shipping would not be a problem.

Hello, thanks for the reply. I will try the dealer and if not I may holler back about your block. 3/4" may be enough. Is yours aluminum?
Thanks YC
