Yes, the other Mike was correct about the number and the possibility of it being a 101 Senior. However, it is obvious that your number came off the tin plate on the side of the transmission. I was going to suggest that you might have misread one or more of the numbers (not the 2 for a 1 in the model part) because those were hand stamped I'm sure and sometimes an 8 might look like a 3 et. Check it carefully. Now, apparently the numbers were also stamped "on the frame on top of the transmission cover" (according to a reference I have here). I've got several Masseys and I've never found a number there. On the bottom of the casting for the tranny/differential is a date of manuafacture cast right in. It would give you a ballpark figure of when that housing was made, however I believe the same housings were used on all of those 101's and 102's. This is a strange one. It seems unlikely that anyone has switched the tin plate on the side. Let un know what you find out.

Are you sure it isn't a 101 senior? The serial # you have listed matches that of a 1945 101 senior, whereas the serial numbers for the 102 senior don't start until 365001. Take a look again, maybe someone has replaced tin or castings.
