Was trying to wire the gas tank sending unit back up and manual call for one wire from gauge to sending unit and one from gauge to voltage regulator. I couldn't find regulator unless I didn't crawl under the sheet metal far enough. Is it OK to wire electrical source from coil?
Also the serial # on tractor is 9A156024 and all I could find on web site is year "1973"/9A152025 then it goes to "1974"/9A182761. Any ideas on this is always greatly appreciated. Thanks

The starting serial for 1973 was 9A 152025 the ending serial number was 9A 182760 for 1973 any numbers between these two numbers was built in 1973. The voltage regulator is bolted to what on a car would be the firewall on the right side. You can connect the wire going to the fuel gauge to the wire going from the ignition switch to the coil. That is what most people do when they convert one from a generator to an alternator with a built in regulator. Hope this helps
