My friend has bought recently a m-f 135 british, Perkins diesel, with allied front end loader. Everthing seems in fair shape. He has one problem with the bucket tip hydraulics. We have replaced the TDH oil and cleaned the filter at the pump. If the front of the machine is raised off the ground it will hold with engine running but slowly drops down when engine stopped, Can live with that. If the bucket is raised 3-4 feet off the ground and allowed to hang with the cutting edge down , you can grab the edge and lift up manually. The rams will be pushed into the cylinders about 4 inches. This makes it sloppy to load the bucket. The bucket cylinders have been rebuilt, so should be no bypass there. The control valve is Gresen. Any ideas what to look for.. Ray-s.

Check for air in system by extending dump cylinders all the way out and hold there untill you can hear relief valve by-pass(squealling noise). You may need to do this several times, both extended and retracted. Do the same thing with the lift cylinders.

Thanks CO , Tried working the air out but that did not solve the problem. I think if there is air in the lines I would feel some compression when lifting up the bucket. Any way thanks, Ray S
