I know this isn't an oldie, but I'm hoping you can help. I'm looking at a MF 1030 4wd with MF 1016 loader. Just over 500 hrs in good shape. Not sure of the year, probably early 80's. Can anyone help with price range? Anything you can give me would help. This is an estate tractor, and I can't seem to get anyone to give me an approx. value. Thanks

I bought an 86 1035 same tractor a little larger engine, for $10K with 500 hours on it, the MF dealer by my house looked up NADA on it and said that I got it for a steal, they gave me the price before I told them how much I paid. Seems high but tractors keep value like Harleys. The tractor looks mint though, nothing wrong with it, not rust or dents. with with 1016 loader, I love this machine.

I'm negotiating a purchase of an MF1030, (not 4x4), 1600 hrs.
He's asked $5200 for it and a brush mower, $4500 without the mower (my choice).
I'd like to put on a loader, next year as I don't need it right now.
I assume from other messages on this board that a loader can be added to this tractor.
Question - I assume I'd need to add a hydraulic pump for the loader - yes/no.

I've actually been dealing on the same tractor and loader ,but this one has 2500hrs.and I've got the owner down to 6200.00,I'd like to buy it for around 5500.00, Hope this helps you a little, A new tractor same size from massey will set you back 15-18k
