Hi Sibby,
Thanks for your greetings. We don't envy you one bit (not much) that you are enjoying the sunshine, maybe having a barbie or perhaps going to the beach while we enjoyed our first snow here in South Wales yesterday for about 12 years on Christmas Day.

We can look forward to our warmer weather coming and hopefully being able to help our MF friends wherever they are with their problems.

Re jacking under the sump;
Still have my doubts whether the sump would support the weight if a trolley jack cup was placed in the centre...but supporting it with a block of wood...as you say is OK.

Anyway best wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy and Healthy New Year.

David, Carole and family.

David, i use timber "sleepers" about 18" by 12" by 6" or thereabouts, usually cut from old railway sleepers on a trolley jack, or place a steel plate between a bottle jack and the hardwood block, no problems even supporting a tractor fitted with a loader. no david, even though i live about 20 minutes to the closest beach, havnt had a chance to go lately, but will make time shortly, all the best from down under cobber, COOOOEEEE.!
