I am looking for original gauges for a 175 diesel tractor. These gauges have a flourescent type lighting system and are no longer available from agco or aftermarket companies. My understanding is that all 100 series used these gauges ie 135,150,165,175,180,1080,1100,1130,1150. All new gages come with a standard 12v bolt which is not what came on these tractors new. I am restoring this tractor and want the original style gauges. At this time I need a temp. gauge and ampmeter. If anyone knows where I can locate these type gauges used or new please let me know. Any 100 series masseys sitting around in the weeds? PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Thanks, Curt

What you looking for are called electro-luminescent gauges. There is an inverter in the wiring system that boost the voltage to these gauges. I'm not sure if you can still buy them new, but look at a site like e-bay, they may have them.
I have a 180 and the gauges are still working, hope they stay that way.
About 10 years ago a freind of mine rebuilt a MF fork lift. The gauges where still available from Massey then, but I know he paid an outragous price for them.

Drill, Thanks for your reply. You are correct that these gauges are called electro-luminescent. The inverter actually changes the voltage from 12v dc to 250v ac. My inverter was bad but I found one on a nieghbors 1150 who had changed his gauges to 12v dc lighting. I installed this inverter on the 175 and the gauge lights started working. The ampmeter and temp gauge have been replaced at some time by the previous owner and are not original. They have 12v dc bulbs. I wish the previous had kept the old gauges as they are repairable. There is a company called JC Automotive which will repair these type gauges and also the inverter. Thanks again for your reply.
