It's time to wire the lights on the MF35.

The three lights are in place but all of the wires have been clipped off.

I assume they ground to the frame and only get a hot wire. The switch on the dash most likely serves the two on the front of the fenders. There may or may not be a second stage on the switch for the rear light.

I plan to use 12 gauge wire. Any special tricks in routing or tethering the wires? I'd kinda like to have them stay in place, once installed.

Does anybody bother to install a blue light for blowing out the end of his driveway?

I just bought a new switch and it has 2 positons. The first has hot connected to the front terminal only. The second has hot connected to both terminals.

You can wire as you choose. If you have 12v bulbs and a 12v batt, then daisy chain the hots and chassis gnd the colds as you said. But on the hood, there is usually a bad ground so I prefer to "bring" ground with the hot so as to insure a good return.

Some (folks)only want headlights on in pos1.

Some want heads and dash.

Some don't want a rear light till they hit the 2nd pos.

Some want dash on pos 2.

Suit yourself.

I don't have much to contribute, but I'll be interested in your experience. I have a 135 and the wiring in general is in bad shape and the lights wiring is non-existent. I have a wiring diagram from Big Dean and in my tractor manual, but I'm not much of an electrician nor experienced in this area. There is a (pricey) wiring harness available for the 135, but it is my plan to wire up everything new and one at a time and buy plastic sleeves to bundle. My tractor has wire bundle clips attached by bolts at certain points and others that slide onto 'tin' elsewhere to hold them in place.
