Does anyone know what the height of the cutout is on this tool? It's a MF 35 2-stage clutch. Tractor ser# 216 845. Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Geoff,
Assuming that your main clutch plate and linkage pivot pins are in good order. The gauge height is only a guide. The most important thing is that all the release screws are set to the same height from the PTO clutch plate.
Normally puting the screw through the depth of the release arm is satisfactory but check that you can adjust the others to exactly the same point.
PTO plate adjustment is carried out with a gauge of approximately 1/16. Again it's important that they are all the same.
With the tractor rejoined adjust the pedal arm on the clutch shaft to give a clearance of approximately 3/8 of an inch against the casing.
Press the clutch pedal and the second stage should be felt between 1/3 and 1/2 way down.
Engage the PTO and ensure that it stops on it's own. If it does not, reduce the PTO plate clearance through the access hole under the gear-box until it stops.
Regards DavidP
