Just bought a pony - but has no battery
I know i need a 6 volt battery
I am not sure on how many AMPS it should be ??
Also what would be the best brand ??

The 6V battery used in a Pony is called a group "1".

A 6V battery from your local farm supply store will be big enough for the pony. Around here is Tractor Supply, Farm and Fleet, Big R, ect.. Just be sure it will fit in the spot it go's. There is not much room for error.

I just use whatever 6 volt battery is available locally. I use 6 volt batteries in my Pony, my AC B, and my Farmall A. Higher amp rating is better, but most sources I"ve found only carry one size in 6 volt. Last one I bought was at AutoZone, but there are probably better ones out there.
