What it took for my MF-135 was a rebuild of the starter. I had new bushings put in, installed a new solenoid (old solenoids get rusty and sticky sometimes), and it needed new brushes and a cleaning to get rid of the ground up old brushes. I put in a sealed battery and its been doing fine for a long time.

Then make sure the choke wire closes the choke fully. And pull the choke while cranking with the throttle opened about 1/3. Fires my 135 fine that way. Open the choke most of the way as soon as it hits or you can flood it.
