I just purchased a MH-50. I noticed a little fluid on the transmisssion housing when I purchased it but it didn't seem to effect the way the tractor ran. When I trailered it home and went to unchain it, I noticed alot of fluid running down the steering column. The leak looked like it originated from the top of the steering wheel or steering gearbox. When I tried turning to the right it wouldn't turn easily. After a few minutes it seemed to get better. I just purchased it 2 days ago & have not had time to take off the sheet metal covering the steering column. I have the repair manual for the MH-50 but I can't find the steering gearbox fill plug. It is easily spotted on my FE-35. Any help would be appricated.

had simular problems on my mh-50 the first time it had a cracked housing (I am lucky to have access to a machine shop so I welded it up an remachined as needed) The next time it looked like the oil was coming from the cover around the shaft from the bot to the steering wheel it turned out to be a leak in the line to the oil preasure gage.
