need help identifying MH tractor I lucked out locating and bought. it appears to be a model 44 based on web pics i"ve seen. any suggestions?

The serial number is stamped into the rear-end houseing on the top left hand side by the pto shifter.You may have to scrap off the paint to read it.The origanal tag is on the left-hand side of the u-frame just ahead of the clutch pedal.There is also casting numbers on the under-side of the u-frame.These numbers will give you a idea of the production date.If you find the numbers I just mentioned drop me a line and I can tell you what year it is.

Well,if you can give us a serial # we might be able to help you out. Im not sure where the # is located on a 44. Probably around the bell housing along the cast iron frame.
