I Inherited this tractor and have been trying to get it to run.Had the fuel pump rebuilt and the injectors done. Can anyone help on the best (easiest) way to set the head valves correctly? Im Not the sharpest pencil in the box but would like to take a shot at it before I have to pay someone else to do it. I was the also told the tractor is a 1962. How would I know? Thanks

MF35/50 Tractor Service Manual for Model Z-134 Engine (Perkins 3 cyl diesel, left rotation) states on section B, part 1, p. 3:

Intake Valve Lash: 0.013 inch (hot) 0.015 inch (cold)

Exhause Valve Lash: 0.013 inch (hot) 0.015 inch (cold)

As I recall they were mfg'd '61 to '63. Was brousing my books the other day and as I recall the valve gap was like .013 whereas I am used to .016 to .018 for other engines.

You can get a service manual from this site for a reasonable amount of money and it tells you what and how.
