I HAVE A MF 165 WITH MULTIPOWER THAT IS EXIBITING EXTREME SLIPPAGE UNDER LOAD IN ALL GEARS IN BOTH THE LOW AND HI MULTIPOWER POSITIONS. IF THE LOAD GETS HEAVY ENOUGH THE TRACTOR JUST COMES TO A COMPLETE STOP WITH THE MOTOR UNAFFECTED. ITS LIKE THE CLUTCH IS JUST SLIPPING. EVEN IN LOW GEAR I CAN'T EVEN GET THE TIRES TO SLIP. ANYBODY EXPERIENCE THIS CONDITION BEFORE? HELP! MY 165 HAS FALLEN AND CAN'T GET UP. THX FOR ANY/ALL RESPONCES.

I also have a 165. I *think* you must be dealing with a clutch problem -- not the multipower. The multipower shifts a planitary system -- if the multipower malfunctions, it simply operates, full power, as if it is in low range. As I understand things, the only way you could get the slippage you describe is if the clutch is burned up or severely misadjusted.
