I have just purchased a Massey Ferguson 3 pt. 4 bottom plow. The serial # tag is gone. The plow has a bolt together frame, replacable shears, two piece moldboards, and a metal furrow wheel. Can anyone give me some help in identifying the model of the plow?

Thanks
Steve

Could be a MF Model 74 plow. Many of them made. I have one. Post a picture if you can. MF Dealer still can get you a Parts Manual, and an Operator Manual if it is a Model 74.

Could be a "62?" or a 'later' one, the "82" with trip bottoms. The 82 we bought new in '78 was a 3 bottom with a large plate at the end of the long beam to add another bottom or 2? The 82 we have came with a Cat II hitch and a crank handle rod for 'tilt'. If it has shear 'pins' it 'could' be another one.

My plow doesn'thave the long beam or trip bottoms. Each bottom has it's own frame and the next bottom frame is attached with 5 or6 bolts.
It has a Cat I hitch.

Maybe a model #66 plow. Post a picture and someone can identify it. John
