how do you get a stuck steering column free?
In massey 2775, both up and down, and column slot on dash?

also, the 3 point and power steeering wouldn't
work except when I muscled the wheel,and then only a lttle?

Had a 2805, loosening/turning the "MF" emblem on the steering wheel would allow it to 'telescope'. There was a lever, right side of dash/T-shaped?, that adjusted up and down. Hard steering/no lift points to either a main or aux hydraulic pump weakness. Earlier than ~1980 models used a separate pump for the steering mounted on front of engine. The filter on that style system would clog, IT manual said to toss it. This is for a 2805, yours may be different.
